What is flexible PU foam?

SEAL-IT® 471 PU-FOAM FLEX elastic PU foam is a high-quality, extremely flexible, airtight, highly thermally insulating PU gun foam. Specifically for sealing air leaks and intensively moving joints and seams. Due to its permanent elasticity, a durable and highly insulating airtight seal can be created, even with very intensively moving joints.

Elastic PU foam Applications

• Specifically for flexible, vapor and airtight sealing of air leaks and intensively moving joints, between, around and along building and facade element constructions.
• Perfectly suitable for energy-neutral building (passive house) of homes and buildings.
• For sealing expansion joints, connections, seams, cracks and gaps, between, among others, inner and outer facades, cavity walls, partition walls, ceiling, roof and and floor parts.
• Sealing/filling setting and installation spaces between building and facade elements, such as with pre-fabricated wood and concrete parts, aluminum, steel, wooden and plastic frames and window frames.
• Sealing pipe and cable penetrations, in facades, walls, floors and roofs.
• Bonding/sealing insulation boards, construction panels and sheet materials together.
• Sealing connections in ridges, dormer windows, chimneys, exhaust ducts, bay windows, etc.
• Sealing hollow spaces and holes in roofs, floors, facades, walls, ceilings and walls.

Airtight construction

PU-Foam Flex construction foam can be used for sealing expansion joints and connections of window and door frames, for pipe and cable penetrations in, among others, passive houses and energy-neutral homes.

If you are installing a Cellular Concrete – Aerated Concrete partition wall from the HplusH brand for, for example, a bedroom, living room, or office, it is important to ensure good acoustic insulation. To prevent sound leaks in the partition wall, cracks and seams between the wall and ceiling must be sealed with flexible PU foam.

PU-Foam Flex has good adhesion to most surfaces such as: cellular concrete, brick, plaster, concrete but also on metal and plastic.
