Product description

Fix and Finish from Knauf is a plaster material that is used for thin plastering of aerated concrete and sand-lime block walls, plaster blocks, concrete and plaster plasters. It is suitable for all flat stony surfaces in different types of rooms and buildings. Here are some specifications and benefits:

Specifications:

  • Brand: Knauf
  • Weight: 25 kg
  • Consumption with layer thickness 2 mm: 15 m2 per bag
  • Material: Plaster mortar
  • Layer thickness: 1 to 3 mm
  • Finish: Smooth

Advantages:

  • Easy to create
  • High adhesive strength
  • Easy to process
  • Plaster in two layers on highly absorbent surfaces
  • Plaster in one layer on normally absorbent surfaces
  • Manual processing
  • Long processing time
  • Moisture regulating
  • Hardens evenly

Substrate: The surface to be plastered must be dry and free of dust, loose particles, oils, cement laitance and other contaminants that could affect adhesion. The surfaces must have good absorbency. Smooth, non-absorbent surfaces such as precast concrete should be treated with Knauf Betokontakt or Spraykontakt. Highly absorbent surfaces such as aerated concrete walls or sand-lime brick walls must be treated with Knauf Primer or Stuc-Primer. Fresh concrete may not be plastered.

Processing:

  • Preparation: Gently sprinkle 25 kg of Knauf Fix & Finish in approximately 18 liters of clean tap water (approximately 0.7 liters per kg). Let it drink for a few minutes and mix without further additions into a lump-free mass.
  • Application: Apply the plaster to the surface within approximately 20 minutes after mixing and level it. After setting (about 1½ hours), moisten the plaster, sand it and plaster it smooth.
  • Total working time: Approximately 60 minutes, depending on the type of substrate, temperature and relative humidity of the environment.

Provide good ventilation after complete finishing of the plaster to promote rapid drying. Dirty water and unclean tubs and tools can shorten processing time.
