Aerated concrete Block G4/550 600x200x100mm
Aerated concrete blocks 100mm: durable, insulating and versatile building material
Aerated concrete blocks with a thickness of 100mm are known for their excellent insulating properties, making them ideal for various construction projects. Here are some applications and characteristics of 100mm aerated concrete blocks:
Applications:
-
Partition walls: 100mm aerated concrete blocks are ideal for quickly and easily installing partition walls. They are often used for both load-bearing and non-load-bearing partitions. Thanks to the insulating and sound-dampening properties of aerated concrete, they are perfect for creating additional rooms or installing shower enclosures.
-
Finishing with paint: For building partition walls in bedrooms, for example, the smooth texture of the 60x20x10cm aerated concrete blocks can be finished directly with wall paint. Preparation with a thin-set plaster such as Knauf Fix & Finish is recommended to smooth out any imperfections. Applying a primer before painting is essential for good adhesion of the wall paint.
-
Wallpapering: 100mm aerated concrete blocks can also be used for interior walls, for example, in living rooms. They are almost immediately ready for wallpapering due to their fine grain. Before wallpapering, preparation with thin-bed plaster and a primer is recommended.
Kimlaag Mortar for Aerated Concrete: Kimlaag mortar is useful for quickly and easily laying the first block straight and level on the floor. It's ready-to-use; only water needs to be added. This mortar can be used for aerated concrete and other materials such as lime-sand brick.
Sustainability and Environmental friendliness:
- Sustainable: Building with aerated concrete is a sustainable and environmentally friendly choice. The material is made from natural resources like sand, lime, and cement.
- Recyclable: Aerated concrete is 100% recyclable, allowing residual waste to re-enter the production process.

Partition walls 100mm
With 100mm aerated concrete blocks, you can quickly and easily build partition walls. Blocks of this size are often used for both load-bearing and non-load-bearing partitions. Thanks to the insulating and sound-dampening properties of aerated concrete, this building material is ideal for creating partition walls. This way, you can easily create an extra bedroom or install a shower enclosure.
Finishing aerated concrete wall with paint
Aerated concrete blocks, also called gas concrete blocks, measuring 60x20x10cm are ideal for building partition walls, for example, in bedrooms. We recommend using the appropriate aerated concrete adhesive for gluing the aerated concrete blocks. The H+H blocks in this size have a smooth texture, making them immediately ready for a finishing coat. Many people choose to paint their walls and then apply a textured finish. Before applying the paint, it's wise to prepare the aerated concrete wall. This is often done with Knauf Fix & Finish. This is a thin plaster, also called a thin plaster. This allows you to quickly and easily conceal any imperfections such as seams and holes. Before painting the wall, it's important to treat it with a primer. This is necessary for good adhesion of the paint.
Wallpapering aerated concrete walls
The 600x200x100mm blocks are often used for interior walls , such as in living rooms. A popular finishing material is wallpaper such as non-woven wallpaper, vinyl wallpaper, renovation fleece, photo wallpaper, or paper wallpaper. If you want to wallpaper an aerated concrete wall, you must first prepare it. Because the aerated concrete blocks in this size are not coarsely textured, your wall is almost immediately ready for wallpaper. Before you start, you can fill any seams or gaps with a thin-set plaster, such as one from Knauf. To prevent the wall from absorbing unnecessary wallpaper paste, you can treat the aerated concrete wall with a primer. After this, your aerated concrete wall is ready for wallpaper.
Sound insulation 100mm
Need good sound insulation ? Then choose the G6/650 aerated concrete block (625x250x100mm) . Aerated concrete blocks with a G6 rating offer better sound insulation than blocks with a G4 rating, for example. This is often desirable for dividing walls between different living spaces, such as a bedroom, home office, office, or laundry room.
Sustainable and Environmentally Friendly
Cellular concrete is also known as aerated concrete. This is due to the air bubbles created during the production process. This allows us to insulate with still air, creating an ideal microclimate in every space. Building with cellular concrete is a sustainable and environmentally friendly construction method. The building material is made from natural materials : sand, lime, and cement. Cellular concrete is 100% recyclable , and any remaining waste can be recycled back into the production process.
